Practice Expectations
Students are encouraged to practice daily for at least the same number of minutes as their weekly lesson duration. Participation in recitals, competitions, and other performance opportunities is encouraged but optional.
Attendance and Progress Expectations
Students are expected to attend lessons regularly. If a student shows little interest in their lessons or fails to improve at a reasonable rate (as determined by the instructor in consultation with the parent or guardian), they may be dismissed. Inconsistent attendance (e.g., missing 2 or more lessons per month) may result in forfeiting the student’s reserved time slot or dismissal from the program.
Payment Expectations
Payment is due seven days before the first of the month. A $6.50 late fee applies if payment isn’t received by the 2nd. Lessons may be suspended if payment remains overdue beyond this date. Refunds aren’t issued for missed lessons, and repeated late payments or failure to notify about cancellations may result in lesson suspension or dismissal.
Cancellation and Make-up Lessons
Lessons must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance. If canceled within 24 hours, make-up lessons may be arranged, up to two per month. Any missed make-up lessons or are rescheduled 24 hours in advance will not be refunded or prorated. If the instructor must cancel a lesson, the student will be offered rescheduling options or a prorated refund.
Discontinuation
Clients must provide 30 days’ notice when discontinuing lessons. Without proper notice, if payment has been made, credit may be offered toward future lessons, or the remaining scheduled lessons may be provided without issuing a refund.
Refunds
If a student is dismissed due to insufficient progress or failure to attend lessons regularly, refunds will be prorated based on the payment plan and remaining time in the semester. Refunds are not issued for missed or expired make-up lessons.
