Jane Van Voorhis, a native of Detroit, Michigan, is a distinguished cellist based in Columbus, Ohio, where she maintains a private studio of dedicated students. She performs with esteemed ensembles such as the Columbus Symphony, Dayton Philharmonic, and New Albany Symphony Orchestra. Notably, she serves as principal cellist for both the Newark Granville Symphony Orchestra and the Worthington Chamber Orchestra. Her international experience includes participation in the Classical Music Festival in Austria, performing as both an orchestra and chamber musician. Beyond her orchestral engagements, Jane is known for her collaborations in various small ensemble settings, including improvisational sessions, recordings, and impromptu performances. She is also the co-founder of the Charcuterie Duo, collaborating with guitarist Steve Fout. Jane earned her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from The Ohio State University, studying under the tutelage of Professor William Conable.
